Oriole Cafe & Bar : ladies' night-out

Another secret to our happy relationship is preserving our individuality.  We give each other time and space.  I still have time to go out with my friends ( just like before hubby and I got together).

It was a fun Friday night with the ladies.  We didn't even notice that it was past midnight.  That's the power we ladies have...we can chat until morning, talking about anything and everything (no dull moments).

To complete the night, we dine at the al fresco area of Oriole.

I love the fresh vibes and relaxing atmosphere of that stretch in Somerset.   My friend was hungry so she didn't bother looking at the menu so we just ordered what i recommended.

Fish and Chips (4/5) - love the light batter of the fish.  It's seasoned well and not too oily.  We got 5 pieces of the battered fish accompanied by thick pieces of tasty fries.  The tartare sauce was a bit on the sweet side but still good.

Beef Cheek Tagliatelle (4/5) - friend didn't like this dish but it suited my taste.  I fancy anything stew-like. (this dish is braised in red wine, mushrooms and shallot oil).  The meat was tender and just melted in my mouth.  It's tasteful and like how the unique sauce went well with the pasta.  The serving was a bit small in my opinion.

In general, it's worth coming back.  Ladies, when is the next night out? :)
